Service Description

Similarly to group MBSR sessions, individual MBSR sessions are designed to nurture mindfulness, emotional awareness, and resilience in a fun and engaging way. Sessions focus on core themes such as observing and concentrating, connecting with the senses (taste, smell, sound, sight, and touch), practicing patience and confidence, understanding and managing emotions, and developing kindness and happiness. Through interactive exercises and mindful activities, children learn to navigate their thoughts and feelings with ease. Depending on the child’s needs, sessions can be 30 or 60 minutes long, with the number of sessions customised to suit their progress and goals. Parents also have the option to participate alongside their child, creating a joyful and bonding experience for both. This collaborative approach enhances understanding and reinforces mindfulness practices at home. The program’s benefits include improved concentration, reduced negative thoughts and worry, better relaxation and sleep, decreased fears and depression, increased self-confidence, and a calmer, more constructive response to stress and challenging behaviours.
