Service Description
The 8-week MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) program for kids is designed to nurture mindfulness, emotional awareness, and resilience in a fun and engaging way. Each week focuses on a specific theme, such as observing and concentrating, connecting with the senses (taste, smell, sound, sight, and touch), practicing patience and confidence, understanding and managing emotions, and developing kindness and happiness. Through interactive exercises and mindful activities, children learn to navigate their thoughts and feelings with ease. The program has a wide range of benefits, including improved concentration, reduced negative thoughts and worry, enhanced relaxation, better sleep, and decreased fears and depression. Participants also experience increased friendliness and respect towards themselves and others, boosted self-confidence, and a calmer, less reactive approach to stress or challenging behaviours. Sessions span from 45 mins to an hour.
